Role Description The Librarian at IEC College Of Engineering & Technology will manage the day-to-day operations of the college library, ensuring efficient access to print and digital resources for students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include cataloging and classifying materials, maintaining accurate records, and organizing collections to support engineering, management, pharmacy, and other academic programs. The role involves providing reference and research support, conducting library orientations and user education sessions, and assisting users with information retrieval and database usage. The Librarian will also oversee circulation services, manage subscriptions, coordinate with vendors, and support the implementation of library policies and digital tools. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Greater Noida.

Qualifications


  • Strong foundation in Library Science, with the ability to apply professional standards and best practices.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Library Services and Library Management, including cataloging, classification, circulation, and collection development.
  • Experience working with Metadata and related tools or standards to organize and retrieve information effectively.
  • Ability to deliver Library Instruction, user education, and information literacy sessions for diverse academic disciplines.
  • Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Familiarity with integrated library management systems, digital libraries, and online research databases.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to collaborate with faculty and academic departments to support teaching, learning, and research.
  • Prior experience in an academic or technical institution library is preferred.
