Coforge Limited, a global digital services and solutions provider, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art public library in Kondapur, Hyderabad, as a major component of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The new facility, located on the 8th floor of Pranava Business Park, is an impressive 15,660 square feet and is open to the public free of charge daily from 8 AM to 8 PM. It is designed to foster inclusive learning and community engagement across the city.
Features and Purpose
The library offers a welcoming and inspiring environment with modern architecture, including floor-to-ceiling windows and comfortable seating.
Collection: It houses a diverse collection of over 15,000 physical books spanning multiple genres (fiction, children's literature, history, etc.).
Digital Access: Visitors can utilize digital cataloging systems and access newspapers, magazines, and other reference materials.
Zones: The facility includes designated areas for quiet study, group discussions, and children's activities.
Community Events: Coforge plans to host regular workshops, author talks, and reading sessions to deepen community engagement.
Sudhir Singh, CEO and Executive Director of Coforge, emphasized that public libraries serve as "long-term social infrastructure that outlasts technology cycles and business models." The company is committed to building a nationwide network of such libraries to create opportunities for individuals to learn, grow, and thrive. The State government welcomed the initiative, with IT Advisor Sai Krishna assuring support for the project.
