MNC opens free-for-all public library in Hyderabad’s IT corridor

Noida-based multinational company, Coforge, has launched its third free-for-all public library in India, located in Hyderabad's bustling IT corridor (Kondapur area).

This impressive, aesthetically designed, and air-conditioned facility spans 15,660 sq.ft. and houses approximately 15,000 books across multiple genres. Crucially, the library uses a fully digitized cataloguing and management system to ensure seamless operation for all users.

As part of their CSR program, Coforge CEO Sudhir Singh emphasized that they view public libraries as "long-term social infrastructure that outlasts technology cycles." The library is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is free for everyone.

This initiative is a significant example of the corporate sector actively supporting literacy and community development through modern LIS principles.
